GYM EXCITEMENT

I can't believe it but I am actually BEYOND thrilled that I get to finally go back to the gym tomorrow!  YAAAY  I have felt so huge this last week. I felt like I gained 80 pounds.  Today I had people tell me "you are looking so good" and inside I thought "Yeah right don't lie bitch I know I look like I haven't lost any weight..."  BRAIN WHY ARE YOU SO NEGATIVE?  I wonder if I think being mean to myself will make me work harder ... probably not so I should stop the negative thoughts.  I heard a wonderful song that really spoke to me and it made me realize what is important.  I am not doing this for vanity reasons I am doing it to be healthy. Somehow this past week I have been focusing more on losing weight and thinking of it as a diet instead of my lifestyle change maybe because I have had to go to events and I hadn't had to do that yet. Deliciously Skinny

My husband thinks I am crazy.  Me : "I feel fat... have I gained weight? Do I look fatter?"  Husband: "uh... you're crazy"  But come on what husband would ever say "Yes you look fatter..."  An ex husband... or better yet a dead one.  Yeah call me fat... I dare you I can't wait for Monday when I can get back to the gym. And TUESDAY is my Yoga night very excited about that too. This past week I have been making sure to eat delicious and healthy foods in good portions. Eat a healthy breakfast take my multi-vitamin, pack a healthy lunch, and eat a healthy snack once home and then a healthy dinner with a good portion size.   I didn't take photos of everything I made this week but I will give recipes for a few of my favorites.  BREAKFAST: Chocolate Peanut Butter Chia Oats - they taste just like those no bake oatmeal cookies but sugar free and better for you! Ok ... this past week I have felt seriously shitty about myself and my weight loss goals. I was supposed to be positive but its hard when I can't go to the gym because of my back and to boot after a long weekend of alcohol and fatty food. I am uncomfortable in my body again and I feel like I have gained weight especially after the whole change in scales weight that was 10 pounds higher.  I HATE LIFE My husband says I need to wait a few more days to go to the gym. I am going to start Yoga on Tuesday and I am SUPER excited. I will also be extra good and work out and go to the sauna in Mexico. I haven't back tracked really I just feel like I have. I need to get to the gym ASAP! I have been doing great food wise I think its just that I feel fat when I don't work out. I feel like I am bloated and need to sweat this out. My fat needs a good cry!  As I have said before this is a journey for the rest of my life so I have no need to feel like I am on a time line here bu

Eating it up!

Yesterday when I left the doctor I was not feeling good. The one thing I always crave when I don't feel good is noodle soup! I made my own homemade because canned soups can be high in sodium.  I used one carton of low sodium 99% fat free Swanson chicken broth  Carrots, Celery, onion, turkey breast, and whole wheat heart healthy egg noodles  It made a TON so I will be eating on that all week! Later I was hungry for a sweet snack so I consulted a favorite recipe blog Undressed Skeleton and made flax seed banan crackers. TWO ingredients. 1/2 cup whole flax seeds and one mashed banana.  Spoon a small amount into the bottom of a muffin tin and bake at 350 until firm   Yes they were SOOO good. It made 12 crackers but I only could eat four - they are filling so they will be snacks for several days.  That is one of the things I love about healthy food it really makes you full.
