Girls Night Out!

While visiting here in Aubrey for girls weekend Amanda and I decided we needed a nice girls night out. Dinner and Shopping what is better?

First step dress up!

I put on my coral maxi dress - which is a tube dress and leave my top totally bare... not in the mood to look naked tonight.

SO I put on my blue cardigan but TOTALLY forgot to bring my belt. This cardigan and dress combo leaves me somewhat shapeless without a belt.....

SO I decided well I will button the cardigan because its REALLY tight Only when I buttoned it... it wasn't tight ...

In fact look at the large amount of space still inside this thing. This used to be my "skinny" cardigan because it was super tight and I couldn't button it - it was just mostly to add color and what I thought was "shape" which I now see was probably just aiding in making me look fatter. I  remembered a photo I took several months ago when this cardigan was still super tight.

Couldn't button it here ... also my face is so puffy its embarrassing. EEEK I am sad cause I LOVE this cardigan but I am also really excited because WHAT its too big. I was telling my sister in law its annoying because I don't want to buy new clothes at every size down and she said I should just go to a thrift store for those in between sizes until I get to my goal size. THEN spend the big bucks to update the wardrobe. GREAT idea.

So we went to a restaurant close by that serves grilled food and bbq called SAW DUST. It has live music and a country dance floor. It was really cute. My food was DELICIOUS. I almost got mesquite grilled salmon but ended up doing chicken and I am glad because it was heavenly.

I had a sweet potato and asparagus as my sides - the worlds BIGGEST sweet potato!
( I have leftover in the fridge for tomorrow!)

After that we went to a place I found online in Denton called Cupboard. It was basically a small Whole Foods.

I found several exciting items I had been dying to try.

Of course Chia Seeds! Super nutrient rich and full of tons of Omega-3, protein, antioxidants, and fiber! Put it in yogurt, oatmeal, baked goods, and smoothies! Apparently you can soak this in hot water and add honey and fruit for a hot chia cereal... interesting!?!

Powdered Peanut Butter!!!!! All you do is add it to water and get peanut butter with only 45 calories for 2 tablespoons. SO exciting.  This brand is made with coconut sugar which is produced from the sap of the coconut flower. It is a natural sweetener that contains vitamins and minerals with a low glycemic index.

I love YOGI tea. I have gotten it before - I like the KAVA tea for stress relief before bed. This one was exciting to me because it "supports an active lifestyle". Apparently its formulated to give you energy to be able to maintain a healthy active lifestyle and diet. It has green tea and ginseng to support stamina with a light blueberry flavor and hibiscus MMMM. "Good addition to a weight loss program of exercise and diet!" So we shall see.

I didn't buy this but WHOA this is exciting. Probably not new for all you big city folks and I know that I am sure HEB and Whole Foods etc. have had these for a long time but I hadn't seen fresh made nut butter machines before... CRAZY!

AH how does this not make you crave healthy fresh food. TASTE THE RAINBOW! (I was really impressed with the purple bell pepper)

I had this at Whole Foods before and I really like it. Chia drink - it gets a little slimy which is odd but still has crunch to the seed and the delicious fruit juices make it sweet. They really are wonderful but if you are a texture freak you might not like it.

YES!!!!!!!!! I am so freaking excited about this. I love Hungry Girl and HERE is the link to her awesome hungry girlfredo (which is actually on the back of the package as well as her endorsement of how awesome it is haha)

If you can't read it is says "This product has been deemed and excellent guilt free noodle substitute by Hungry Girl."

And yes the entire bag of noodles is only 40 calories THE WHOLE GIANT BAG dang!

Too bad this giant bag - a whopping 22 POUNDS of belgian chocolate wasn't 40 calories.

Here is my entire purchase - the few things I didn't take individual photos of.

Yogavive chips- popped cinnamon apple chips. 100% organic no added sugar or preservatives. 35 calories for 10 grams.... I don't know how to measure that really haha but the entire giant bag is 170 calories.

AND gin-gins. Soothing ginger chews. MMM GINGER. They are vegan, fat free, gluten free, all natural, BUT do have sugar. Thankfully the pieces are little so for just 2 pieces its only 40 calories and 10grams of sugar. I know sugar isn't too great but its organic cane sugar and I love ginger. It was definitely WAY less sugar than like crystalized ginger.

On my many delicious products I dropped $38.62 - not bad in my opinion. The crazy expensive thing was almost $12 on the chia seeds BUT so worth it.

When we got home Amanda made delicious smoothies for our dessert. Frozen blueberries, strawberries, a banana, and a splash of my unsweetened almond milk! YUMMY

That and a face mask make a wonderful end to a wonderful day!
